Day 15 -- We Interrupt this DVD for . . .

What a day it's been! Started out getting up a little late, but I figured I'd get all the housework done first, then move on to Core Rhythms full workout after the little one had gone to school.

Alas, the little one had a tummy ache, headache, and was generally not looking so hot. So today has been about "Mooooommm . . ." and a lot of "I wants," INCLUDING (but not limited to) Papa John's pizza for lunch! This happened when I had finally gotten ready to do Core Rhythms Quick Workout. Please can I just lay down and take a nap and forget that I committed to working out six days a week at home until Dec 31st?! At any rate, I'm getting ready to go pick up the contraband pizza. I'll let you know how it goes.
---
As it turns out, not well. As soon as I opened up that box, a glorious smell wafted up into the air, and I HAD to have a 290-calorie slice of cheese pizza. YUM-YUM. Visual cues turn out to be a huge part of eating right and keeping on top of calories. You can be full and not even thinking about food, but the sight or smell of deliciosity can just do you in. Never mind, I ate the *#%@ pizza, and it was REALLY GOOD. I've added it to my calories today, and I'll change my day accordingly, if necessary.

I'm starting to think I'm PMS'ing, because in the last week, soda and sugar are calling my name. I LOVE a little sweet treat, and last weekend's visit to Bonaparte Breads has me craving chocolate filled croissant.

Eating on a budget is also getting dicey; we have maybe two fruits left in the house, a drawer of semi-okay veggies that I think can hold up if I run them under really cold water, lots of beans and pasta sauce, hot dogs and ham. There's also frozen tilapia and frozen chicken tenders in the freezer, so that's a good option, but nothing that makes a really yummy, "Mmmmmm, I want to have that" kind of meal. If you have any good ideas for nutritious meals on a budget, please post and let me know.

Off to do Core Rhythms Quick Workout -- wish me luck!
---------------
Well, it's 21 minutes and 44 sweaty seconds later, and I DID IT! I know I shouldn't feel like I deserve an award, but it's been one of those days where it feels like everything else is conspiring to keep me from working out, so I feel great. I got the feeling from the Quick Workout that Jaana and Julia felt like they had to pound it out and get it all in there, so I actually got a really good workout this time.

My only complaint, again, is that the stretching at the end is cursory at best. I think I'm going to go stretch some more while I'm warm, now that I'm thinking about it. Later.
-----------------
The day continued pretty uneventful, except for the fact that by dinnertime, I had only consumed 1,250 calories, and I became light-headed and weak until I ate. As you can see, dinner was a LOT of calories, way more than usual, but I truly felt I needed all of those at that time. I felt way better after eating. Core Rhythms full workout tomorrow.
